It's lovely to read that Skippy's blog has helped you Gina, when I read it I found it very informative and often post people towards Skippy's blog. x

Yes its great. The humour is good too. Lightens it up a bit. On with opening my post office account and tackling my supervisor about them doing the petition otherwise I will be booking us both in on monday in court. Thanks for all the support on this forum, helped us find a path

Keep us informed Gina, I think you've been amazingly strong throughout this whole nightmare.

Hi, just off the phone to our iva supervisor. She said that the money set aside has been given to the creditors! So we will have to start the br process ourselves. She also said she cannot give us the certificate of termination of the iva as it takes 3 months. She said that some courts won't process (until this form is in our possession so we are now faced with filling the forms in taking them down and having to wait for this letter. She said she will do a letter saying termination is in process if the court asks.

Mel, is there any way an IVA can be terminated in less than 3 months to enable someone to go BR sooner?

The court said we may not need the certificate. Sometimes they want it sometimes they don't so going to go on monday. No appointments you turn go at a set time. Talk of redundancies at my husbands work now....will have to go voluntary if so as the compulsory pay later on is no good to us. Can then use this to petition if we can

Gina, I am so sorry it has come to this. What an awful time you have had and it could all have been avoided if creditors had played ball.

Keep in touch so we know how things are going.

Its ok. And will do. Thanks for your support. The forms are done now . Just waiting to hear whether my husband is offered severance pay. If so it goes down as an asset although I think we will be allowed to keep some of it to live on according to our ip. He does have the capacity to work for an agency though and there is a lot of work in his field so its not all doom and gloom and he will put this on the br form

I don't know what to say Gina - you have really been through the mill. You know where I am if you need any support off forum.

Hi, an update. The severance pay was offered to creditors. Turned down by grant thornton . It was 13k towards the 16k left on my husbands iva. We were considering that and then paying mine off. So my husband posted on br site and was advised to wait for the pay and use it to petition for our ( so just a waiting game now. No registration details were sent from the sister site so he can't post on it. Thanks for the advice though. Crazy, just goes to show not all creditors accept decent proposals in an iva. Will keep you posted :)
