I have just got a letter form the co-op to say the basic account was refused because the address did not match the name. They use Experian as credit reference.

This is absolutely stupid. I have been banking with many banks and have had my address for nearly one year? I even had a statement to show them when I tried to open the acccount Even if you change address don't the credit reference people keep up with the change.

Is this an Experian credit reference cock up or what.I have been told I can get the decison reversed by the Co-op if I can show the discrepancy is Experian's fault.

No wonder Experian is offering a free service so that they can have their records admended.Theses agencies have so much inaccurate info on people.

Are you on the electoral role at your current address, as I know that can make a difference. When I ordered my CRF last year I was still showing as on the electoral role at my old address. I had completed the form but the council hadn't done anything with it.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.
