Shared ownership of property with housing association

just been reading through my proposal. says about remortgaging at month 54 - my porpert is shared ownership wih housing association and they do not allow under any circumstances for me to remortgage the house for any purposes and ubder no cirumstances for debt consolidation. i did tell my IP this at the time and was told probably an extra year on top of the five. however just seen this in proposal and am worried

Nothing to worry about, you will be unable to remortgage as you are shared ownership so expect an extra 12 months

If you are concerned in any way you should have a chat to your IP, but i agree with Andy that if you have any equity you may do an additional year of payments into your IVA

If the housing association actually stated this in their contract, a copy of this should've been given to your IP at the start of the arrangement and he/she could've excluded the property based on that.
