It's not very pleasant here at the moment, I have to admit. We were lookinh forward to the end of this IVA this time next year, maybe a holiday that coming Xmas, treat the kids to some nice toys for Xmas, some nice clothes.........
Still keep that in mind - hubby might be so much better by then.

I,ve been through what you are going through - you will find the power to cope with it. One tip I would URGE you most strongly to adopt - make certain you understand what the doctors are saying - if you don't undrstand ask again until you do. Some doctors (and I am not saying all) will respond to a question but not answer it. So tell them to answer your question. If you get involved with Oncologists you will find that they are the most caring of people - anything goes wrong they tend to take it personally. Don't be afraid to ask for a second opinion if you are in any doubts. You will come into your own with this - you see if I am not right. I don't know who your IP is but if you are with Melanie that lady seems to know exactly what to do about anything and everything - I speak from experience of her. You will find Jan good too. Keep your mental strength up as well as your physical.
I understand that you are in a dark place right now, I can only imagine what you are going through and I hope it works out ok for you and hubby.
Speak to Payplan on Tuesday - we are with them and have found them good to deal with.
I am sure they will sort this out for you, and that is one less thing to worry about and you can concentrate on your hubby beating this.

Exactly the same as me - this may or may not help you but our GP has a very small practice less than a thousand people. He has two lung cancer patients - one stll alive after 9 years the other after 7 years. Those two characters are in the record books I think. I see these two every Sunday - they are indeed alive! He has a kidney cancer patient - alive after 12 years - I see her every Sunday too. If I can help you in any way I will - I have learnt how to obtain second opinions and also how to get the best available treatment - don't forget, treatment can be given in any hospital in England and Wales - it does not have to be the local hospital
What I forgot to say is if you ever wish me to help you Melanie will give you my telephone number - I can't put it on here for obvious reasons. Believe me - you will come through this>
Thank you - look out for a post from me on TUESDAY> The surgeon who treated my wife has an international reputation as a cancer surgeon - often on the TV and press.. He keeps in touch with her and writes regularly (we are 275 miles from him now). She is going to phone him on Tuesday and ask him where the best cancer hospital is in Wales. He knows all the best cancer specialists in the UK - taught alot of them
You will find the support on the forum is second to none.
