Hi Ida

Just sending my thoughts and prayers to you - will be thinking of you today.

All best wishes x

There's an old zen saying 'Only an empty bowl can be filled'. It means that the moment you think you have nothing left is the moment when growth and progress become inevitable. Everytime you see an empty bowl, think of the potential.

THANK YOU ALL.

They are going to operate.

More tests (of course as always, when won't there be?)

Then chemo, 2/3 months of that, a 6 week rest and then the operation, it's a major one anyway but in his case (At some point our luck is going to turn good you know!) it's in possibly the worst place, heart, lungs, liver etc will all get in the way when they do remove it.

They will remove it though, I firmly believe that, I know that (alright, today I know that, the first optimistic and good day I have had so far)

One of the first things they said to him, which I oddly liked was that there never will be a day when he is cured, we are all hoping for a whole load of days and years when he is well.

They are loathe to do anything until they have seen it properly (as if they already haven't, enough looking already, do something, please), he has things to sip with toxic levels of calories though. Or he would if any pharmacist had heard of them, Boots promise they will be there in store tomorrow afternoon.

I am about to email Payplan again, to update them on what we know.

We can beat it but it's bad. Very bad.

Hi Ida

at least there's a sort of plan in place so things will start to happen.
You and your family are in my thoughts and I will be keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out for you all.
Wishing you all the strength to get through this

It is great that things are moving for you and hubby on the operation side, Ida, but pretty poor client service from Payplan. I am sure that David Mond will have something to say about this - and will probably have a word with one of his friends there to alert them to your post.

David??

I was hoping they would, I am a trained special needs teacher although since I got made redundant do precious little of it and I miss it.

Anyway, a peg is not a problem, and it does the trick, but thy don't want to touch him in any way until the scans etc are in place, then they bplan a laproscope if they need it, if not, straight into chemo.

THANK YOU Melanie, this is the best we have had for weeks and if I am honest, months we knew it was bad, really bad, just not the name of what "it" was.

I am grateful for any help I can get, kids, house, MUM stuff I can do, money etc, I have no knowledge, I am lost.

We aheva way forward and he is 42, only 42 with a disease in a place no one gets before 50 and then they are too young for it!

He'll get well, I know it.

he has to.

I'm glad that you've finally got some answers Ida.

Hopefully as Melanie says David will be able to have a word with the people at Payplan to help you get some answers about your IVA.

Lots of love to all of you xxx

David will speak to Payplan for you tomorrow hopefully and explain how worried you are about the IVA.

I have to tell you that you are sounding far stronger and positive than a couple of days ago, and the support you are getting from this forum is tremendous. We all wish we could just give you a big hug and tell you that everything is going to be OK - and it will, I am sure.

Sending you a virtual hug - )))))))))) (((((((((( !!!
