Hiya all,
I hope someone can help me!

I started my IVA in September 2006.
I've just had an Alert Notification from Equifax that something had changed on my Credit File. When I looked I noticed that it had the following:

--------
24/07/08 Credit Agreement New/Deleted
An Account has been added or deleted to your information. Hide Details
There have been changes to the following Credit Agreement in your credit file.
New Credit Agreement
Summary

Company Name Account Type Account Number
New Information R B O S (DEFAULTS XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

New Credit Agreement Summary
Company Name Account Type Account Number
New Information 12906744 Loan XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
--------

As these are new agreements according to Equifax does this mean that I now have to wait 6 years from this new date before they will drop off my credit file? The reason I ask this is that it means they could keep moving it about ever year and it'll never drop off my file! :(

Is there anything I can do to get them to change the agreement date back to the start of my IVA?

Thanks everyone!
James

Oh they can, and have. They have defaulted my accounts over a year after my IVA was agreed.

I will get the dates corrected once the IVA is paid off.
We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation.

I think you have to contact the relevant credit agencies to get it changed.

I'll bump it back up for one of the technical experts to give you a better answer.

If it works the same way as after BR, you would need to write to your individual creditors rather than the credit agencies and ask them to amend the default date to the same date as your creditors' meeting.

I'm not 100% about what happens after an IVA but I'm assuming it would be the same!
