i no what you are sayin soulgrowth - but it appears that if i was to earn say for instance an extra £250 per month, i would be able to keep the 1st £120 and pay 50 per cent of the remaining £130 over which would be £65 so i would still be better off by £195 per month - that sounds really good to me - at the end of the day i want to pay as much as i can back after all i borowed it but at the same time i want for us to have a few small treats and help our daughters a little, i agree some people have no choice but bancruptcy everyones
circumstances are different

Hi Barb

Very valid points ... and good maths working out! And EVERY little helps, both for a few extra treats for the family and some extra into the IVA pot to address one's moral obligations to one's debts .... but ... being in an IVA can make you feel like "big brother is watching you" at times

so we are all big brother contestants - would be lovely if one of us was a winner and won enough to pay a full and final to our ivas!!!

i would never have luck like that

a second job sounds ok maybe short term but dont know if i could keep it up indefinitely -we will see - one hurdle at a time - wait for the 28th and then see outcome of that first

am so glad i found this site think iw ould have cracked up the last couple of months with out it

Does this 10% & 50% rule only apply until your annual review comes around & then does your IP take YOUR 50%, as this then would be classed as disposable income would'nt it ?

No it applies right through the IVA, but your IP will amend the base figure to be used for the caculation at each anniversary.

You 10% + 50%ers are VERY lucky people. Many of us in "older" IVAs can only dream of such generosity!!!!!
