Hi,there was an equity clause but there is no equity.I have just received the paperwork from my fourth year review and there is no mention of equity release or doing an extra year.The money is from an uncle.

Hi Destiny,i went in to see them to get a new deal and thats when they told me they could not offer me anything.My only option was to go on the svr.
If you get a copy of your land registry you will more than likely see a warning on it from Santander.

Hi,i too have had to go on the svr with santander.Like you i have never missed any payments.I was told that its their new policy which i think came into affect in Feb of this year.
I didnt get charged for going onto the svr.I just hope and pray the interest rate doesnt go up.

i think its disgusting that a company can buy a debt for as little as 5p in the pound and then demand 56p in the pound.As i have said earlier i would rather see my money go to the banks i borrowed from. Yes your right,we do have an obligation to pay back as much as we can afford,it just seems strange that a third party receives more money than the companies i borrowed from in the first place.
I personally would feel better knowing that they received the money i owed them.
