So grateful Mel, the whole thing has sent me into a panic at the thought of failure after so long, didn't know where to turn tonight.

I apologies for what may be a rambling post but I am trying to unscramble my mind after my variation was rejected. My IVA was set up in 2009 paying £380 giving a dividend of 22p in the £. During the first couple of years things were tough but I was offered a promotion at work resulting in the abilit...

Hello Melanie, sorry for using the forum to send you a message but I don't know what else to do as I have left messages with people at your company asking if I could speak to you and some of my email correspondence has asked as well. I have also sent 2 emails to your direct email address that I was ...

If I was you I would tell your chosen firm you no longer wish them to act for you and contact Melanie and her company and ask her to act for you. I am one of her clients and have had a superb level of understanding and support so far. I am now half way through my IVA and thanks to their work I have ...

Thanks for the reply! I have just edited my post because some of the calks were wrong so could you have a scan again?

There is no other reason other than to help me out. They have said I can pay them back at the same rate I am paying currently as well.

Hi Everyone. I have been in my IVA for a while now and it has been something I have kept from my parents for reasons I am sure many of us feel (embarassment, shame, failure, let down....the list could go on!) I am now in a position where my parents know about the situation and after a right telling ...

I think it is wrong to say 100% what will happen as it depends on the terms of the IVA. A lot of the modern ones for example will treat it in the same way as other expenses on the income and expenditure sheet, once all expenses are recorded at the annual review you get to keep 50% of any surplus and...

I agree with the other comments it would be very difficult to get a mortgage with an IVA on your record and if you did the interest rate would be prohibitive. Banks etc.. are being extremely cautious now when lending money and unless you meet a number of criteria you are unlikely to get a mortgage. ...
