Thank you Melanie,
I will be putting one of the properties on the market later this year and see what that realises. I can then see where we are. My IP will also know at that time the situation as there are figures in the agreement.
I will keep you posted when this happens.
regards

Hi, I am currently in an IVA (17 months). I own some investment property which are part of the arrangement.ie when the properties are sold the funds go into the arrangement. Due to various contracts etc the properties could not be sold at the time of the IVA being set up. Now the property market is ...

I have had my IVA approved today. For those who have seen my previous posts you know it has been a rocky journey. I just want to sincerely thank everyone who responded when I was really down. My special thanks must go to Melanie. When I received my rejection the first time and then misread my chairm...

Melanie, Thanks for the reply. My return is still the same, as the figures quoted for the debt is the same as before. ie The figures used are the ones I provided on day one. I just misunderstood the report. However, all creditors have been accounted for by name. Some of them have not included all of...

I posted a topic the other day (13 February) about my IVA being declined. At the time my IP quoted a return of 85p in the £. When he told me this over the phone I was suprised at the high percentage. We had agreed an amendment with one of the creditors. Today I recieved the minutes of the meeting wh...

It is interesting EGG and MBNA are being talked about here. They both rejected my proposal but EGG are the one I owe the most to from those who voted. AMEX were good, they accepted an amendment in the first few days that my proposal was originally sent. My IP is in discussion with EGG now and I am e...

Yes Melanie, MBNA were adamant my offer was too low. Now they want to talk. Are they renowned for this? They are now saying they have no record of our discussion. I must admit it was not in writing. I was not exactly thinking too straight at the time Bengy

Thanks for the kind thoughts. I talked to the creditors individually. Some were OK with a DMP others were not. Interestingly another who rejected it is now saying I should have approached them first before seeking an IVA, I had asked them about a DMP but they said what I was ofering as means of mont...

Hi Melanie, My case is interesting so my IP tells me. I cannot sell the properties as I have a legal agreement with a housing association that prevents any sale during the term. Of course there may be an option for someone to buy the properties but at a reduced sum as they would also be in the agree...

Melanie, It is a long story as how I was paying each month, my business started to fail and I was made redundant from my full time work. Stupidly I carried on funding from my credit facilities hoping for a turn round in fortune. I am now fully employed in a well paid job but not sufficeint income to...

HI Melanie,
My debts are c£163K. I currently cannot afford any monthly payments. However I own properties which are to be sold. I will also take a tax free lump sum from my pension and then pay £350 per month.

Thank you Melanie, It is true, I have (had) never missed a payment on any of my creditors before it hit me I could not repay the monthly payments. It is very stressful at the moment as I have not paid anything now since October when i was advised to stop paying and change bank accounts. I wil have t...

I thought EGg were OK as well. They had been very suportive up to this pint with them helping me with a debt management plan. It was others who did not want a DMP that stopped thet route. I am not sure I should state who the IP is as I do not want to prejudice my position at the moment. I am told it...
