When I was late for my MBNA CC payment (last month) it was RMA that contacted me. A similar text and then a very polite letter saying that 'as I was a valued customer it was probably just an oversight that I had missed the payment.' Maybe Aegis have now taken over from RMA.

Credit for a car or something else is fine provided you can afford to pay it back. I spent 15 years with loans for various cars, holidays, etc. as well as HP agreements for electrical items and always paid the loans/HP agreements off. It's only been the last few years that I have had financial probl...

Which company are you trying to get the report from? I have looked at mine in the passed on creditexpert.co.uk and you can sign up for a 30 day free trial. You have to enter a credit/debit card as you will be billed after 30 days you can cancel it before then and not be billed. If you just want to s...

Thanks for your help so far. One more question; I currently have my contact address for the loans and cards as my parents address in the UK but I was thinking about updating this to my 'real' address here in Germany. Is this advisable? I would prefer to provide my address as it will mean that all co...

Hi Melanie, No, I am not with HM Forces just here as a 'normal' employee of a company. Thank you for mentioning that I should base my expenditure on the cost of living here in Germany as this is something I was struggling with when completing the budget planner. As the €-£ is practically 1:1 at the ...

So for the last few years I have been living in ostrich mode running up debts on credit cards in order to pay for things that I wanted but didn't really need i.e. holidays, clothes, etc. This resulted in me getting a consolidation loan to pay off the credit cards but rather than stopping the cards I...
