Hello - I wonder if anyone might be able to give me some advice. I completed an IVA in Feb 2010 and this has now been removed from my credit report on Experian. I have been offered a new job and amongst the papers I have to sign and send back is authorisation for them to do a credit check. The paper...

Hello everyone No questions on this posting, just my ramblings about how things are going for me now I have completed my IVA. I made my last payment on 5 January this year, but it didn't actually complete until 5 February (the date of the creditors meeting). So I have been about two months officiall...

Hi everyone - thank you for your kind messages. See what I mean about the kind words???? This is so the place to be for any debt-related advice you need. Managed to get into work today - took me five hours (on a bus, then a train, then another bus), but I made it after two days of sitting at home wa...

That's it! The last payment into my IVA has left my bank account today. Five years ago today, I made my first payment and those five years and 60 payments stretched out ahead of me like a prison sentence. But after a few payments, I got into the swing of things and it got a bit easier. And now... I'...

What a great post! Well done Kabby and I hope the next few months fly by for you! I finish my IVA in precisely 7 days - this time next week, I will be debt-free (OMG that sounds fab!). For the first time in years, I am seriously excited about Christmas. But only for it to be over so that I can make my final payment!
And then I will stop banging my head on my computer. It does sting a little bit after four years and 10 months....! Ouch!

Hello - I am two payments off completing my IVA and am just curious about a couple of things. Not that I'm looking forward to it or anything!!! Will I be asked to send off my payslips to my IP for the last year as I have done for the last four years? They have a few from this year already due to my ...

Congratulations! It's great to read posts like this. I've got two payments left to make into my IVA and am now counting the days rather than the months. Posts like this make me feel loads better knowing that although the days seem to be dragging, there is an end. Enjoy your debt-free life! Julie [:)]

Congratulations Skint! Well done on completing your IVA. I have five months left to pay into my IVA and have to say these last few months are d-r-a-g-g-i-n-g more than the last four and a half years. Posts like yours help me keep my spirits up! Congratulations again. Enjoy your debt-free life!

Hi Ida Yes - he recovered and now he's absolutely fine. He has a fine scar to show off, but no problems since. I know it won't be a walk in the park for your hubby, you or your kiddies, but if it's the same as my dad's, then it is treatable. Horrific thoughts go through your head when the "c" word i...

Good morning everyone - thank you so much for your replies. I really appreciate them. I was made redundant twice last year (both from building companies) and last October I felt like I really needed to break down and just sob to someone and come clean! If only I had known about this website sooner! ...

Hiya Jan The time seems to have flown since February 05 but these last few months will drag, I think. I have managed all the payments so far, even though some months have been a struggle, i.e. when my ancient car has decided to pack up, and even been lucky enough to pay a bit more due to bonuses fro...
