sorry just have another question. we still owe approx 27000 on iva so if we pay for another year they will only get another 3600. will they be ok with that ?

an extension would be better as we are both in our fifties now and my job isnt very secure and we dont want any more debt secured on the house. we only have 5 years left on our mortgage now

only ones we had were gt fees and that our son contributed when he had a job or jobseekers. there was nothing to do with the house on it.

dont have HMRC as a creditor. what do you mean as modified ?

we are just so worried as we have equity in the house that would pay back the creditors in full. our iva contract says if we cant remortgage then we have to carry on for another year but we are worried that they are going to make us sell the house because of the equity.can they do that?

spoke to grant thornton team and was told to try online and when it gets to the bit saying we cant continue because we want the money for iva and have to ring them, print that out and send that in as they have to have something in writing to say we have tried.

have been trying to get a remortgage and have been told no by 4 banks but they wont give us a letter to say this what do we do now

we have just had our iva approved and are with grant thornton and we found them really good and helpful

hi tamzin we used grant thornton and they were great.started our process middle of feb and iva was approved on 27th april.they were always willing to answer any questions we had and were very helpful

yet more calls from barclaycard today told them yet again about the iva and this time they said thats not our problem you need to contact the people who are dealing with it and the calls will continue. they are doing my head in

we have lost it with them told them not to call anymore and that we would start harrasment proceedings but still they ring even on sundays and on bank holiday monday. they start ringing at 8.30 in the morning up to about 8.30 at night.

so do i sometimes. barclaycard are driving us nuts at the moment we had our iva approved 2 weeks ago and ever since they have been ringing us about 8 times a day asking for payments. it dont matter how many times we tell them about the iva they wont stop ringing

we had that with egg as well. we had 3 credit cards and a loan and had a letter come about each one noting iva was approved but they still wanted the outstanding balancing paying now

we had a mixture of 4 credit cards and a loan with various parts of the RBS group and they were our 2nd largest creditor and they all voted yes to our iva and that was on 27th april
