just a matter of intrest who is your biggest debt too? it may depend on what company you owe money to.

i have just had my iva proposal accepted and my circumstances were the same as yours.When My bank statements showed gambling debts and this did not cause any problems.I wouldn't try and hide the fact of how you got the debt, at least your trying to sort out the problem.

i had my creditors meeting today and my proposal was accepted. No modifications were needed and everything went alot smoother than i thought. Thanks for all the advice and support from everyone!! i'm off to have a beer to celebrate!!

i have debt of 18000 and am looking at paying back £270.00 a month over the 5 years. the main part of my debt is 13500 with HSBC.

best thing to do when they call is give them a different number to call you on!! just make one up and then they will change it on there system and your previous numbers on there system will disapear. i did this with all my creditors and within a week i had no creditors calling me.

i have just recieved a date for my creditors meeting(16th April).Can someone tell me if i will find out the same day if it's a yes or no? will the payments then start straight away if it's a yes?

i started the IVA process a year ago with this company and they were awful!! i ended up leaving them and i have now started the process again with another company. i'd look somewhere if i were you.

i'm with moneyexpert.com and they have been great to me. They try and put you on a DMP first and thats why they ask for a payment. if you tell them your only intrested in an IVA then you don't pay anything until it's been approved! They give me a call 2 times a week to make sure i'm ok and to ask if...
