Thanks Melanie, I am completely blown over by the help and guidance you and others are providing here - and so rapidly. I just hope that after we have been through this process and hopefully succeeded, we too can share our knowledge and experience with others in our position. Thank you!

Hi my partner will be working away soon and he will be getting non-taxable subsistence, would he be expected to give 50% of this up to the IVA, despite needing it to cover his costs while working away from home. Thanks once again in advance!

We were offered a payment break when we took out the mortgage but we didn't take it as we didn't need it, b...

That put a smile on my face Michael Peoples! The card does say they will visit. As I am not yet in an IVA and don't have much ammunition I will hide away cowardly i think!

Thanks I feel a lot better now and as you said can carry on concentrating on my little one! I still can't believe this is really happening though at times, it seems surreal, but then we have our health and each other so things could be a lot worse, we can count ourselves lucky in many respects, just ...

I have had a card from Aegis today saying they are calling round to my house Saturday between 8am and 9pm - this is on behalf of MBNA! Called DFD who advised me not to answer the door or let them in and they have no right to enter as they haven't been through the courts etc. In this case what do the...

If at the creditors meeting the majority vote no, does this mean our only options would then be bankruptcy or DMP? Is there still potential (and are you allowed) to apply again, perhaps with another company or would that be a waste of time, effort and resources?

My partner's parents have never had a mortgage as they inher...
