I took out an IVA with Melanie Giles back in 2009. Although it was settled early, the 6 years still needed to run but now I'm "clean" again.

This is the definition of an "un-discharged bankrupt" from the official Co-op press release: "Our definition of an un-discharged bankrupt is someone against whom a bankruptcy order has been made and who has not been discharged from bankruptcy. In most circumstances the customer is discharged after 1...

It's been absolutely ages since I've posted on here, but felt I had to today as this morning I got the wonderful call from one of Mel's team at the IVA Bureau that my F&F has been accepted - I'm just over 3 years into my 5 year (possibly 6 year) IVA. I was made redundant at the end of January with a...

It's been a long time since I last posted on this site, and I hope everyone is well. I'm in a single IVA (my wife isn't) and both of us have been facing redundancy. My wife has escaped - just - but I haven't and I stop work on 31st January. By way of compensation I am being paid £14,500. I think my ...

Been ages since my last post, work has been absorbing a lot of time...hope things are good for all. Something is nagging away at me, which is our mortgage. Although there's no immediate action, it is looming up. We are currently on an interest-only mortgage (it was repayment pre-IVA) with a fixed de...

Do anyone know if whilst in an IVA you are entitled to see the annual reports sent by your IP to creditors?

There have been a few variances to my IVA since I started (bonus payments, a payment break and one creditor cancelling part of the original debt) and I want to see the effect of all this

From the TPS website... "The TPS can accept the registration of mobile telephone numbers, however it is important to note that this will prevent the receipt of marketing voice calls but not SMS (text) messages. If you wish to stop receiving SMS marketing messages, please send an 'opt-out' request to...

Made it at last, only 48 hours later but the stress of not being sure you're ever going to get home gets to you. At least I was holed up in a nice hotel with a warm bed and a large bath to soak the stresses away! When I eventually landed at Heathrow yesterday it was chaos. Listening to other people'...

I've got Christmas Markets surrounding me here in Vienna. There's 41 of them apparently. Only problem is I should have flown home on Saturday and it's not looking like tomorrow (Monday) either...why can't the UK cope with snow? A lot of snow fell here in Vienna last week and the airport closed for j...
