Dalton Hello and welcome to the forum. You do not have to have a capital sum to pay into an isa , you can pay a monthly contribution. Neither an isa or endowment are guaranteed to repay your mortgage except on death in the case of the endowment. You could take a "full endowment" which would guarante...

jackie90 Contact C&G and explain to them your situation. I couldn`t think of a reason why they wouldn`t try and help you. You only need assistance in the interim and then as you say revert back to repayment method afterwards. It would be interesting to know what reasons they would give for rejecting...

You can apply for mortgage funding whilst in an iva, one of the most critical things being the loan to value on your application.
You would obviously need permission from your IP first.

sophie3 Welcome to the forum, at present those in an IVA would be looking at a mortgage at circa 75% loan to value i.e. If your property was valued at £100k then the max would be around £75k including fees. The rate and lender would depend on the outcome of a search done on you. It isn`t easy but it...

kalf There is I believe a clause in an IVA that states that you would have to look to try and obtain a remortgage in the 4th year of your IVA. Obviously with the current climate this is not always possible. I am sure one of the IP`s will come on and tell you what happens if a remortgage isn`t possib...

ksmiuk With regard to the IVA part of your query I am not qualified to offer advice on that but concerning applying for mortgage funding I can confirm that lenders are willing to lend to those with an IVA on their credit file. The rate would depend upon the results of a search done on you and no 2 c...

You can as previous posters have stated apply and obtain mortgage whilst in an iva or with an iva or your credit file.
You need permision from your IP and also a deposit of circa 25%, the rate would depend upon the outcome of a credit search done on you.Tony

There is no "best rate", the rate would be allocated when the results of a search are done. It isn`t a case of saying all those who are discharged bankrupts have xyz%, it`s a bit complicated than that. Tony

plasticdaft It would depend on what came out of a search, believe it or not there is no set formula that fits all. Sorry to sound so vague but I have seen cases of 2 different clients both with roughly the same credit file , but with different rates being offered to each applicant because of the sli...
