My IVA was approved 31 July 2008 on a full & final basis and as of last wek there is 1 cheque left to clear and then the IP can issue my Certificate of Te...

Thought I would add an update. Spoken to a more senior person in the business banking section today and following a discussion during which I had to say why I had gone into an IVA, the banker said that he would reinstate my online banking access if I presented him with current company management acc...

The account is approx £1450 o/d (within an agreed £10k limit) but waiting for a £16k credit (but of course the bank don't know that at the moment - but there again they never asked!). No personal guarantees have been given and this was discussed when we were prop...

Barclaycard are also continuing to call me despite the fact I have told them that I am trying to get an IVA going - another creditor's meeting on 29th. Don't get a credit card! Too risky to fall into more debt! if you need a card for travel/expenses, etc get a pre-paid c/card. You do not need to undergo a credit check for a pre-paid card. I have a Tuxedo & it works ok. Avoid further debt temptation at all cost!

Thanks Melanie - I have a further creditors meeting on Tuesday (adjourned from 1st one) - can I as debtor propose a modification that current tax year is omitted from the agreement? after all, the other creditors would accept as they then get their money quicker and HMRC are only 7.6% of overall deb...

Melanie - thought I would give an update following your brilliant suggestion above for this tax year to be excluded from the IVA. Persuaded IP to call them with the idea (ie HMRC agree to exclude 08-09 tax year from IVA, thereby they get 100% debt repaid and F&F IVA gets completed early). The IP has...
