Hi all. I haven't been on this forum for a while so I apologise if this has been covered. Finished IVA finally with GT last year, closure took a year longer because of this PPI mess with EIC. Despite the pay outs that were sent to EIC it seems like GT knew nothing about anything that was going on (c...

1 year after my full and final was approved, out of the blue my completion certificate arrived today! There was a point when I thought this would never ever ever ever end (especially with the PPI mess) so it was a wonderful surprise to get it in the post even if it is months late! What these last fe...

Thanks Foggy. Luckily I have evidence in the bits of paperwork I signed, it's so bizarre because this started in 2012, it's dragging on so much and now to deny they even know anything about these claims...annoying. I'd highly recommend anyone having to deal with them keep all emails and letters safe...

Hi everyone... Well, I should have got my completion certificate with Grant Thornton back in March/April. Instead, it's August and I get an email today asking who did my PPI claims as EIC have no information on any of the claims, even though they did every single PPI claim for me! So annoyed right n...

Hi all, I was supposed to be getting my completion certificate at any point now. Instead today I get a letter from EIC, who are dealing with PPI claims for Grant Thornton asking me to sign a letter of authority for a Barclaycard claim 'requesting additional information'. Well, Barclaycard dealt with...

Hello I'm wondering if anyone here has had luck getting a mortgage after an IVA and after the full 6 years (so it has left the credit file)? I know there are two experts on here (have emailed them and waiting for a reply) but has anyone else had luck using a regular bank, or private broker to get a ...

Not for me sadly but for my friend who has a failed IVA which has just dropped off her record (6 years has passed). She has a stable job, a decent deposit - what are her chances of getting a mortgage or does she need to do some serious credit building first?

Hi I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem with Barclaycard (PPI claim via EIC for Grant Thornton). All the other banks have paid up the PPI amounts to EIC - not quickly, but at least it has been sorted. Barclaycard however, have written me numerous letters, never actually acknowledging my corr...

Hi everyone I'm wondering if anyone who is with GT is also having trouble with PPI Claims - specifically Barclaycard. Previous PPI claims via EIC actually went ok and were (apparently) paid out to GT - great. Then I get a random call a good 6 months ago about a stray Barclaycard account EIC wanted t...

Hello everyone, I have a question for a good friend of mine who started an IVA back in 2008 with Wilson Phillips (remember them?!). The IVA failed after a few months but now he is looking to buy a house and get his credit straight. Some how, many of his debitors never really went after him afterward...

I ask because my Full and Final offer was accepted (YAY!) and the monies have been paid (YAY!) and now has been forwarded to the closure team. There's still the annoying issue of a Barclays PPI claim which has suddenly crept out of nowhere but I'll leave that to EIC to sort out. Anyway... Reading th...

After all these years I finally have a full and final creditors meeting schedule for tomorrow. I am so so so so nervous. I am no longer working and looking after my baby at home so basically, it's the best I can do and not too far off the total sum owed. The IVA company have asked me to be available...
