I already have an IVA with DFD, been on suspension for a few months due to council tax arrears. We are still in debt with the council, previous pay day loans, water company, HMRC and a catalogue DFD wouldn't include at the time. We are broke, we run out of money the day we get paid. We have to borro...

Hi Andy

You make a good point but I can't change my expenses every month relating to these two things.
I have contacted PayPlan and will discuss things with them tomorrow.
Fingers crossed.

Hi Andy I looked at the CCCS website and they were rather daft!! Their expenditure form would only allow me £130 a month on petrol and my husband works 30 miles away so spends £200 a month on petrol and they said we could only have £21 a month for our cats when we spend £66 a month on them. (Several...

Hi

Thank you Mel. Your advice has been very much appreciated.

Would you know of any companies that would do a DMP without an upfront fee?

Hi Mel Well his current employment wouldn't have been affected by bankruptcy by he finds out on Friday 10th October if he is being redundant and the likelihood is that he will be. Any other employment will be affected by his redundancy because of the type of accountancy role he qualified for this pa...

Hi I have received advice from MyVesta and they say I can enter into an another IVA. MyVesta intervened a year or so ago when I fell out with DFD massively and a rep from MyVesta challenged Derek Oakley of DFD and he stepped in personally so I do like MyVesta. My husband and I have worked out that i...

Hi Size5 On the contrary I appreciate your honest and clear advice. I'm sorry but I have nothing but hate and contempt for DFD. I find them theiving liars. I have emailed a few debt management companies with a view of picking their brains. I hope to hear from them on Monday. DFD forced us into the £...

Hi We couldn't afford the payments originally because DFD screwed us out of £478 a month when our disposable income was only £300 AND DFD failed to add certain Creditors to the IVA when I told them every month for 2 years so one of our Creditors demanded repayment so with DFD's £478 we are paying ou...

Hi

No, BR isn't an option. My hubby is an Accountant. BR would mean he couldn't practice.

I might give Brightoak a call.

Thanks Kallis3

Hi Vincent A DMP is something we discussed but the problem is that we owe about £45k and we have no disposable income. That is why the IVA failed because we had to pay £478 a month and during our 2 years with DFD they never once gave us a variation and repeatdedly ignored our requests for a variatio...

Oh shoot!! Ok. Can you offer some more advice please? My husband has been made redundant. He won't get any money as he has only been there a year. It is expected to happen around 10 October 2008 although yesterday 10 people in his office were shown the door. I am nearly 7 months pregnant and not wor...

Hi My husband and I failed our IVA in June 2008 with debts of £44k. 90% of them are joint. I also have some debts in my maiden name. Can I declare bankruptcy alone for my married name and maiden name? My hubby is an Accountant so bankruptcy isn't an option for him. I was wondering if I can declare b...
