Does anyone know if you can add an outstanding utility bill to your IVA after it has been running for several months. I explained in a previous post that due to Scottish power cancelling my Direct Debit, they sent me a bill for £226.72. I have been paying them £25.00 per month for the past 5 months ...

They are still saying I need to clear Bill of £226.00 before starting direct debit again, then they want a payment of £81.00 per month. That is £56.00 per month more than I have been paying ontop of th...

Hi,

I renewed my car Insurance earlier this year. I am with the post office. I drive a vauxhall tigra and it is £17.05 per month third party fire and theft. I was paying £38.00 per month last year with Tesco. If you have not done so already go onto www.confused.com to compare prices. I am glad I did

Hi all,

Did anyone include sky tv in income and expenditure. I did not include this as I thought they would look at it as a luxury. Not really a luxury when you can not afford to go out.

thanks melanie, does not sound like a bad idea to me. Perhaps I should look at it a different way. Carry on for the full five years, and use any extra money to enjoy Holidays etc. or save for deposit on house. I suppose should be really grateful that we do get the extra money to spend how we wish wh...

Thanks andy for your advice, although not really what I was hoping for. I just think life is totally on hold until the IVA is paid up. We want to be able to save to buy a house again, this is impossible with the IVA. In another four years I will be 46 and Hubby 48, not ideal to be taking out a mortg...

Like many of us, we would all like to be able to finish our IVA early if possible. I am hoping maybe December 2009 if I am right in my workings out.Original debt £38,000 paying £266.00 per month, which works out to £15,960.00 paid back over 5 years with a 25p in the pound. By December next year we s...

I would say do not let them bully you into paying more if you can not afford it, we were asked to pay another £20.00 a month for creditors to accept. We said we could not afford anymore, other alternative would be banckruptcy, so they all agreed the following day.

I am feeling really sad today. It is three years today I lost my 41 year old sister to a brain tumour. The time has gone by so quickly, but it does not ease the pain. I miss her so much, and can not stop thinking about how awful it was getting the call to go to the Hospice as she was dying, and tell...
