Yes, they were one of my creditors, but does that preclude them from giving me an account and if so, why? Surely the fact that they agreed to my F+F to assist me out of legalised debt should work in my favour? I'm sure that everyone's financial history is hampering their applications in some way; I'...

I've just tried applying for a Natwest Step account and they immediately declined me as there's apparently 'bankruptcy' information registered in my name! What?! I've never been made bankrupt! What should I do now? I'm getting really confused and upset

I applied for the Cashminder account and even sent a copy of my Certificate of Due Completion to them but they wrote back saying, 'sorry love,' (an obvious paraphrase....) Why? If they'll accept applications from bankrupts and people still in IVAs, why wouldn't they accept mine? The only thing I can...

When I spoke to my new employers, they said that they'd need a certificate of satisfaction before they could resume my application. I spoke to W3 today and they said that they'd issue me with a certificate of completion on Friday, but that the 'final report' wouldn't be available for 21 days. Now, a...

I have done.....they've said the certificate of completion will be drafted and with me by Friday, but the employers have stated that they want the certificate of satisfaction which, from talking to W3, could take anywhere up to 21 days. I've asked them to 'politely nudge' to get it done faster, thou...

The funds went to W3 on Thursday; they said they'd let me know when they've cleared and are distributed to creditors....how long, on average - and bear in mind that they've been very, very quick with my case and aren't handling new IVAs anymore, only administrating current ones - do you think I shou...

Hi All, So, out of all my creditors (Egg, Co-Op, La Redoute, HSBC, Barclaycard, La Redoute, Max Recovery) only two voted, both a yes - Co-op and Max Recovery. Both of those voted in both my initial and my F+F so indications would perhaps say that they do vote regularly in IVAs. Hope this helps anyon...

Cheers for that....I know it'll stay on my credit record for the time being but am definitely looking forward to it being removed as soon as the IVA is officially finished. THEN it's time for a party!

I think - though don't know - that there could be some merit in adding a note to your credit file (contact the credit reference agencies to do this) to say that you've successfully completed your IVA, you've learnt your lesson and are now solvent, etcetc....yes, you will have a harder time getting c...
