Hi Mitsu It sounds like you've made the right decision for yourselves. It's not worth letting your health suffer for the sake of keepin your house. We're in the process of selling our house, to pay our charging order off (as ridiculous interest rate) and put rest into our IVA. My health was startin ...

Some great tips. I must admit i also have a bit of an obsession with checking my account by online banking everyday. It's taken us quite a while to find a system that works for us, we tried taking all the cash out for food one month, but it all got spent a bit too fast - we're hopeless with cash,if ...

Lula Congratulations on your pregnancy, i'm sure you'll be able to sort something out with your IP and Melanie's right, a baby is so much more important than a few debts. I have a 3 year old and had another baby a few months before we went into an IVA, you really do not need much for a baby - just t...

Thanks Jan x Hi Carrie, we're just in the process of putting the house on the market, but hopefully within the next few weeks everything will be sorted and will be able to start to have viewings (need the HIP done first) the estate agents seemed to think it shouldn't take too long to sell, so finger...

Tigger That's a lovely positive story. We're currently in the process of selling our house (mainly to pay a charging order where interest is £250 per month [:0]) both me and hubby are looking forward to renting, although some people think it's dead money and they seem to think having a mortgage is t...

Hi
NR was our majority creditor and it was accepted as a 6 year IVA, instead of a 5 year. How many years did you propose to do your IVA over? Maybe offering an extra year as opposed to interest free mortgage may help change their mind?
Good luck anyway

Hi 3princesses I know it's all such a daunting process, but i can agree with the others that you'll be in safe hands with Melanies team. Everyone i've dealt with so far have been lovely and put you at ease. I don't blame you for waiting till monday to call them, i have 2 little princesses (although ...
