Kerry, I'm really cross about you losing your car and so I've managed to find the insolvency service technical manuals under the freedom of information act. I dont know how to post a link (sorry!) but the address is insolvency.gov.uk/freedomofinformation/technical/techmanvol1 You need to read part 9...

That is absolutely terrible news and so unfair, I feel so sorry for you. It does seem to me that the OR decisions vary from office to office. To be honest I think half of them haven't got a clue what they are doing. I got to keep my car which is worth 2800 and Im not working. They said I could keep ...

Many thanks for your reply Tony It looks unlikely then from what you and Oliver have said. I will try the recruitment companies and see what they have to say but obviously not looking promising. I just want to build a career rather than just do a job and thought I would start with what I am good at....

Thank you for your reply Oliver. It was also a condition of my employment back then that you couldn't be bankrupt. I did check the FSA website and it says that you wouldn't necessarily be barred due to bankruptcy and that it would depend on the individual case. I have also checked out websites of co...

Hi All I only went bankrupt on 26/3/07 but am starting to think forward to our future following discharge. I used to work as a mortgage adviser for a high street bank (pre CEMAP days) and I was bloody good at it. I regularly won regional sales competitions and was consistently in the top 10 advisers...

good luck Ray You could always try your hand at pub management before committing any of your own money into a project. Wetherspoons are managed houses, as are M&B (used to be known as mitchells and butlers. Why don't you check out their websites for opportunities? It would give you a proper taste of...

Hi Ray I just wanted to say to you, be very careful if you are getting into the pub/restaurant trade. I speak from experience when I say that it is very very hard work for little or no reward. All of your customers will tell you how to run the pub and how they could do a better job than you. I perso...

Hi Raza have had a chance to check out the websites you recommended. You have really motivated me to try and think positively. I was so sure that we had reached the end of the road that I had switched off if Im honest. I'm working 80 hrs a week for no wages, and while that doesn't make sense you hav...

Hi Guys Thank you for taking such an interest and taking the time to post your ideas on ways to help me improve business. I feel so negative most of the time these days and your positive attitude has rubbed off on me so thank you. Believe me, I have either considered or tried most of the ideas you h...

Factoring wouldnt apply to us as we run a pub/restaurant so we dont have to raise any invoices. I havent taken a wage from the pub for about a year, and we sold our previous home and put our life savings into buying the pub of our dreams(with the help of the loan of 60k from father in law) it makes ...

I think I need to take some time to think it over. we currently maintain payments to everyone but its a real struggle.
