Hav spoken to the inland revenue today. We are registering him as self employed on Thursday and will have to change all the benefit details on Thursday as well. I am hoping that he will be able to keep his car as he will need it for interpreting. (It's always a good idea if the interpreter is in the...

Hi,
We are not filing for BR. Although we have paid off over £100,000 in debts the IR are forcing us into BR. Should we register him before the hearing date then?

Going BR in a couple of weeks and unsure of several things. My other half has decided to use his considerable linguistic skills and start trying to get work as a freelance interpreter. He will need his car to get around, although it is not expensive we want to make sure that he is properly registere...

I will definatley have to get a job before BR then. I am looking at local part time jobs and have applied for several. Without a car it would be very difficult to attend interviews or commit to employment. I would have very real problems getting to work without the car. I live in a one shop/postoffi...

Hi Melanie, Thanks for replying. I spoke to Paul on the phone and he said that they eould be unlikely to allow my husband the use of a car worth more than £1,500. My son is not registered disabled so I am not sure the OR would be happy with us keeping both cars. I am looking for a job at the moment ...

I am still thinking about my talents. There aren't many so I might be a while. I can make my eyes go in different directions to music, which is always a good prty trick!! One question that has always bothered me. This is to the person that built submarines. How do you earth a submarine? Might seem s...

Hi Melanie We have not petitioned for our own BR. We have recently had a business which was sold to try and pay off the IR debt. We succeeded in getting the partnership winding up petition dismissed with the sale of the business, but we did not have enough to pay the bankuptcy debt, which was a larg...

Hi, Thanks Melanie. I am just very concerned that there is only 8 working day's between the bankruptcy and our holiday. I know it is only camping in Cornwall but my kid's are really looking forward to it and we are taking my Nephew as well. What happens if the OR hasn't called us by the time we go a...

We haven't filed, revenue and customs have taken it to court because we couldn't pay the whole bill. The judge has adjourned it again as the accounts have not been completed up to date, but we can no longer afford the accountant. Perhaps I should speak to Paul. How do I contact him? Thanks and sorry...
