Is it ever possible for a 'basic' bank account to provide a cheque book?
I have a Readycash account with Clydesdale, but although it is an excellent account, they do not provide a cheque book.

Just to clarify, CCCS said that I need to send the message the Supervisory Department, and this would be passed to Jacqueline - but it still seems odd that I can't just be given her direct address. I will call them.

CCCS have just replied to my query to say that I can't e-mail Jacqueline directly, but I have to send a message via the Supervisory Department. I'm not really satisfied with that .... surely I'm allowed to contact my IP directly via e-mail, without it having to go to other people?? Does anyone know ...

I tried that, and I'm afraid that doesn't have up to date details (it claims she works for another firm - I did try the e-mail address given, but it bounced back).

Well that's my experience from when I had a payment holiday with a previous mortgage firm a few years back. I haven't actually enquired with my current company, as I wanted to know where I stood with the IVA first. I certainly don't want to end up increasing my mortgage term and interest total, if t...

My IVA is with CCCS and the IP is Jacqueline Westermann. Can one of the forum experts confirm to me her e-mail address, please, as I have recently sent her a message, but received no reply.

No, a mortgage payment holiday is an AGREED arrangement - I would certainly not simply miss a mortgage payment without contacting my provider.
The sum would then be added to the mortgage, therefore increasing the term by a month AND incurring extra interest.

It would be to free up money to cover emergencies, etc. Although I am just about managing my payments, etc, with almost all household/food bills on the rise, and a steep car repair bill looming, I am anxious not to be caught short.

I am a few months in to my IVA and am thinking of requesting a mortgage payment holiday - but wonder if it is worth it? My monthly mortgage payment is around £1,000 - if I was approved for a 'payment holiday', would this entire amount have to be declared to my IP and handed over? (ie. not worth my w...

I have asked for this before, but it's now buried way down in a previous posting. Please could someone post a link to a chart showing which banks are linked to which other banks. I found it really useful when considering which bank to open a basic account - for instance, I avoided NatWest as they're...

Again, people, can I urge you to try CLYDESDALE? I had debts with lots of different creditors, and many of them were linked to almost all the other banks (if you see what I mean). But Clydesdale is linked just to Yorkshire Bank (I think), and offers a Maestro card plus telephone & internet banking. ...

Thanks Melanie - so to clarify, she wouldn't have to speak to - or give any details to - my IP, but of course I'd have let them know what we've agreed on as her contribution to the household?
