It appears under notice of correction on my Equifax credit report. I thought that once you had your certificate of completion it wAs all over but obviously not. I want to go to a normal high street lender I don't want to end up paying high interest rates and struggling. Has anyone else still got the...

I finished my IVA in September 2012 after 6 years. I want to move house so I applied for my credit file. I was shocked to see that it shows my iva was removed in November 2012. Why does it still show up? Surely if you have completed successfully your record should be wiped clean. I am worried that I...

She paid her IVA in full including interest so I assume that is why she would be able to reclaim the VAT as she owes nothing to her creditors.

I will find out from her what is happening and update the post

Hi my friend was in an IVA which finished 2 years ago. Today she got a phone call from a company who claim to be working with her IP (Debt free direct) and they told her that she is able to claim back the vat on the fees she paid. Does she get to keep this money as her IVA is finalised? My IVA finis...

The reason we are all in this situation is because finance providers lent us more money than we could afford to repay. Although we should not have borrowed the money the problem I found was that I kept being offered loans which made our life easier and the more credit I was offered the more I took. ...

I would rather not say which company I am with as I have a very low opinion of them. Once I have my completion certificate I will happily tell you all about them. Thanks for the reply I thought that you always got your certificate within 3 months. It seems unfair that they can drag it our longer tha...

Good luck but we had a bad experience when asking the same question 3 years ago. My husband lost his job and we wanted to take a payment break. Our IP charged £500 for a meeting which consisted of a few faxes from the creditors to agree that we could extend our IVA by 4 months. After that we then ha...

I got a letter from my IP a year ago asking me to sign about PPI I also felt it was wrong to try and claim and in the majority of cases I would be claiming against my creditors. I worried about it for a while then I just threw it away. It was not sent recorded delivery so I decided they could not pr...

We have 3 more payments until we will be debt free it has been a long six years and 4 months. If I knew at the beginning how hard it would be I am not sure I would have gone for an IVA but looking back it has been worth it we kept our house and we have learnt to value money. I am hoping all the less...

Hi Our IVA should have finished this month but because we were unable to raise the equity and also because we took a 4 month payment break our IVA has been extended to October 2012. We received our annual creditors report today and I am a bit worried by it. Our dividend has now gone down from 58p in...
