I still have a long way to go and may need another operation and radiotherapy. I have been chasing them and they have said they have to follow protocol and give creditors 90 days to respond. They are just waiting on one creditor. I totally understand that I won’t come off the insolvency register unt...

Hi, I haven’t been on the forum for a while as I’ve had one of the worst years of my life. I entered into an IVA in May this year, underwent surgery to remove a brain tumour in June and then subsequently in critical care for several weeks. Made a full and final offer to my IVA which took about 3 mon...

I was more worried if I added my name back on if they agreed to this that there could be a danger of them freezing the account with me having debt with them that was included in the IVA, even though they sold this debt. Don’t know if I’m over thinking but read some bad reports about Lloyds

What a start I’ve had…… IVA started May this year, surgery to remove brain tumour June this year, in critical care for a week with seizures following surgery but slowly getting there. My emotions are all over the place. The question I have is I removed my name from my joint current account before th...

Had a message back from them today after being upfront about this. They have asked for the paperwork to pass to the supervisor to look at. Fingers crossed I can keep this as going forward if they haven’t getting all the tumour I may have to have radiotherapy and hence a reduced income so this will b...

I know if I wasn’t in the IVA I would have used most of it to pay down my debts anyway and this is what I should do, but I feel for what I have gone through and the craniotomy I want to just put it away in case it takes me a while to get back to my salary level or I find it a struggle when I return ...

When I was first diagnosed with my brain tumour I was pretty sure that it wouldn’t pay out as it didn’t meet the qualifying criteria. I have just had a call today from insurer to say this will pay out. It is only for £15,000 but do I have to declare this as it’s not a windfall or inheritance it is t...

Kallis I appreciate your offer about contacting you directly but I don’t think anyone can make me feel any better about this situation. I’m trying my best to convince myself I have done the right thing, the only thing really as what else could I do, but I think it’s just happened at a bad time, coul...
