Don't be so sure on the the credit history side of things. Having recently completed my IVA in November last year my current lender of 10 years refused to lend me 85% LTV on my property to enable me to redevelop it instead of moving house. Affordability wise I could have borrowed an extra 120k based...

Having spoke to Marlin a week ago the incorrect default has been removed from Experian and Call Credit reports. Not sure about Equifax yet.

Looks like I will be contacting Mike at Zebra once again regarding the quote I had. Existing mortgage lender is unable to lend what we are requesting.

thanks guys.

Am hoping that I can move on and put this put behind me.

Lesson is what most well known banks don't tell you is that it takes 6 years for the IVA etc to be removed but you won't get a mortgage from them for at least 24 months after it's removed.

thanks guys I just spoke to a gentleman at Zebramoney. Very helpful and upfront / clear on what can be done for me. Although there are some fees involved the cost of the overall mortgage is actually lower payment over the same period of time than my current lender. I just need to get this Marlin cre...

Following on from my thread on Marlin Financial Services earlier regarding a default credit file that was a mistake. I had W3 represent me. Good news is I spoke to my former IVA team this morning and they have spoken to Marlin regarding this and it appears one of my accounts was moved on AFTER compl...

Hi all After completing my iva and receiving certificate in October I thought everything was going to be onwards and upwards. However 3 weeks ago I was doing a routine check on my credit file as I am going through a remortgage and I have noticed on my file a new default from a marlin financial servi...

Woo hoo it looks like I am receiving a refund on the over payments to the tune of 800 pounds or so. Looks like i will receive this in a few days and have been told to cancel my standing order. Completion Certificate is also looking to be issued soon separately to the PPI claim. Feeling like I have r...

Just a quick update on where things stand. I made the final monthly payment I believe is within the IVA agreement. I noticed however that although I was in agreement to make 72 (5 years plus the extended 12 months) I have actually made 74 since October 1st 2007. I have sent an email to my IP to see ...

thanks guys.

I am blown away with the response to this to be honest. I think the penny won't truly drop until I have that certificate in my hand.

When that happens I will have a little celebration for one :) Only my wife is aware of the road we have travelled.

hi all, I haven't posted for a very long time but this time next month it should be my final payment in what has been a very long 6 years in the IVA. There have been many many negatives that I have faced during that time period and for several years before that when where I got myself into horrendou...

thanks guys.

I will do just that. I have extra money from salary this year but it is largely being eaten up by increasing food, travel (trains), petrol and insurance costs.
