Hi Davyhenn I too have Thomas Charles and Wilson Phillips acting as my IP. I have just submitted all my documentation and sent off my letters to my creditors. I really hope it works out for us both. Even with MBNA, I have been reading that they do sell on their debt a lot of the time. I expect due t...

At the moment I am staying with my parents. After being away for 14 years it can be a bit of a strain. If I get my IVA, rather when I get my IVA. I will want to rent. However, after looking at some property websites I noticed that some (or most?) do credit checks, is that true? An do private landlor...

I am in the same situation as you are. I have sent off the forms as soon as I could get all the information gathered. I too, like everyone else, I am experiencing the full range of emotions. Apprehension being the strongest. All I know is that something has to be done to resolve this situation. It j...

Thanks for the messages of support. If I went into more detail about my life, I think you'd think I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown! I just wish my dad would stop reminding me how bad and difficult my life has been up to this point. I do not require reminding about it. However, there are a l...

I have everything that I need to send collected now. I am going to send it by registered post tomorrow morning. Over the last few days I have read as much as I can about IVAs and about procedures, so I am now fairly well clued up on them. It's all about confidence and self-believe now. A faith that ...

I was also wondering about something. I have all my documentation gathered to apply for an IVA. If I am prompt with sending in all information about creditors would my IVA be set up much quicker? Or are there set times for each event or milestone?

Hello Thank you ever so much for all the best wishes. I would just love a little stability in my life. 2 days ago was the anniversary of my previous partner's death. It has been a lomg journey from that day to here. Many a bump and swerve in the road. I have been told by my debt advisor that I am a ...

Hi My story is something similar to everyones. I met my partner 16 years ago. For the first 4-5 years things were ok, but after his aunt who he was close to, and my gran and uncle died all in a short space of time died. He then started to drink very heavily. Ran up a series of debts, which I foolish...

Just applied for an IVA and a wee bit happier about my situation. I suppose my debts can be traced back to the suicide of my partner 5 years ago, and I went a bit mad from that point onwards. My question is I am concerned about MBNA. I have googled like you do, and I am worried that they could scupp...
