Update - my friend made an application to Court to vary the judgement the charging order is based on. It went to a court hearing and the judge made her pay £40 per month towards the charge:-) She pays this from her housekeeping until she has a review. So all well.

My friend is in an IVA (like me). She has asked me to help her today. But I don't know the answer to her question. Her problem is that she has two mortgages which she pays and then has her I&E in her budget. She pays her disposable of £400 into her IVA. Prior to her getting the IVA a creditor put a ...

My partner and I have split. He is in the IVA with me. I didn't pay the mortgage this month and paid the IVA but I can't do both. He has moved out and said he can't give me any money becaue he has had to find somewhere to live. I am torn between paying the mortgage and paying the IVA. I don't know w...

Especially as in the press today I heard if you don't insure your car it can be removed and crushed, but the insurance industry is not making it easy for the likes of us frugal people who budget everymonth to make our direct debit payments. I hope my renewal is ok next month:-)

Can you clarify if it was an IVA (I am in an IVA) and was successful in claiming back the PPI, would the creditor off set it againt their balance or would they send it to me to pay to my Supervisor. I haven't got a problem paying it into my IVA just means more for my creditors in the long run!

You'd be surprised at how many people are actually up to the necks in debt but don't admit it. The difference with us IVA'ers is that we have done something about it and are not burying our heads in the sand wishing it all would go away!

Our 3rd annual review is due in July. Trouble is...is anyone struggling. The cost of petrol and living generally has gone up so much we are really finding it hard to stick to our budget and finding that the last week before payday we have nothing but beans and toast to live on if we're lucky! I have...

My partner and I are 3 years into a 6 year conjoining IVA's with a clause to release the equity in the last year in our property (currently neg equity). Its likely that we are split up. Its all very amicable at the moment with me staying into the house until the IVA is completed and then we can try ...

So - even if the creditor was not notified, was not given the opportunity to vote or submit a claim, they are still bound........even if it causes the IVA to fail by including it and reducing the dividend? I think that will please her!

My friend also has an IVA same as me but she doesn't post on here! One of her creditor didn't know about her IVA in 2007 - they didn't vote and didn't file a claim. They are now saying they are not covered by the IVA and chasing payment. Her IP said that because their debt is less than 10% of her to...
