I've received a letter to say one of my debts has been sold to another company. It says it won't affect my IVA but can they insist on any changes? I've just had a 12 month extension agreed in place of equity release, can they go against this? Thanks

<t>I have contacted my IP several times as I have I have been called by their 3rd party equity release guys a few times. I have asked to be considered for the 12 month extension given the temporary changes in place around equity release. They keep skipping over my questions and today I got a letter ...

I'm due to get a nice pay rise at the end of November. Do I have to tell my IVA provider immediately or do I want until my next review (April)? Also, is there a set rule for how much they take? I thought I'd read somewhere 50%? Thanks

If I chose to drop my working hours to enable a better family/work life balance, will this be negatively looked upon by my IP or am Iikely to be able to lower my payment amount to help with the lesser pay? My husband has offered to help make up the difference so even if I can drop it by a small amou...

Thank you all for your helpful responses. I shouldn't really be worrying yet. I've still got 2 years of the original term so anything could happen but I'm just worried this will impact on my family for a lot longer than the original 5/6 years. Thanks again.

Thank you. We're still a clue years away but it does worry me that'll I'll be paying this off forever! By the end of the five years I would think we'd have about 20k equity. Does it count all of the equity or just my 50% share as my husband is on the mortgage and not in the IVA? I think with all the...

Thank you. How do they work out how much the loan would be for? The original debt was 38k and I pay 425 a month.

Thank you. Can I ask what you mean by the secured loan is only for 12 months? I've read stories such as they loans are for 25 years and the pay back would be tens of thousands?

I've been reading some horror stories about people being made to take out secured loans if they can't release equity meaning they're the tied in to an horrendously high interest rate loan for years and years. Can an IP make you take out a secured loan? Can we insist on 12 months extra payments inste...

My f&f offer has been accepted, woohoo! Judy waiting to see if I will get the redundancy now. I just want to check that once it's gone through and three months have passed, the restriction on our house should be removed, is that correct? I see from other posts that they can still try and get me to l...

Hi.
I have a f&f offer going to my creditors on Friday. If accepted, what happens next? Will my credit still be shot for what would have been the remaining 3 years?
Thanks
