Hi Claire

Do you mind me asking what was your outcome? I’m in exactly the same position also with Santander and wonder if it’s worth bothering applying to port our mortgage.

Thanks

So after six long years, my IVA finally completed today and I’m over the moon!

I’ve struggled massively but I’ve managed to pay back over £40k worth of debt and it feels amazing to finally be free of it.

Thanks to the forum for helping me along the way, especially Foggy.

Thanks Foggy. As I’m in my last year, I don’t want to give them any reason to issue me with a breach so I’ll tell my IP about it. Perhaps they’ll let me knock a month off the extension period if I give them a month’s extra payment from the rebate.

Thanks

This past year has been a massive struggle and my employer made me take a four month wage reduction due to the Pandemic last year. Anyway I’ve been told that it was a precautionary measure to avoid the business going under and as they’ve actually done quite well, they are looking to give us a rebate...

So I’ve recently had my IVA extended for a year and got my annual review coming up. There’s certain things I’m not paying out for at the moment like travel etc because I’ve been working from home but this is likely to change a couple of months after my annual review. Do I put what I’m paying now or ...

We’ve just had a letter off our supervisor to say they’ve extended our IVA by 12 months because we couldn’t remortgage. As the letter dropped, my husband was told he’s losing his job because of downturn of work because of Covid. We’ve struggled massively these past 5 years paying £545 a month and I’...

Thanks everyone - the whole thing is just very confusing and stressful. It’s a joint IVA and we have around £55k equity in the house so I imagine the clause will be triggered. I just don’t know where to start - we are paying nearly £600 a month and we don’t earn a great deal, just want out of it now...

It’s coming up to the time where I need to seek either a secured loan or remortgage under the terms of my IVA. I just want out to be able to get my life back so would prefer to do this than extend for another 12 months. Has anyone been successful in securing one lately with a company that doesn’t ch...

Hi all We’re finally getting to a stage where it’s nearly time to try and release equity to pay off the rest of our IVA. For the past four years, I believe we’ve been paying too much and it’s absolutely crippled up (£600 a month earning jointly £37k a year) - original debt was £42k and we’ve paid ba...

At the end of last year, my IVA company moved me to a new company with a new supervisor (I’m currently in my fourth year). This new company are awful - they never respond to my emails and despite me providing all paperwork for my annual review in February, I’ve heard nothing back and have had no sta...
