He should be paying child maintenance whether he wants to or not. The money is for your child so you ought to be pursuing this even if IVAs were not on the horizon. I would have thought his IVA would include a portion for child maintenance if he asked?

Your friend has some culpability here too. He continued with the call when he shouldn't have and then told people about it. Personally, he would no longer be my friend if he did this as he is not trustworthy. So your anger and frustration should be equally vented towards him. Creditfix agent may not...

I would not even think about allowing my nephew to take a loan out for me. Could you not consider paying the remaining payments yourself? They might want access to credit in the future themselves such as a car or a mortgage and the loan they took out for you may prevent this. Without sounding harsh,...

Unfortunately nothing you've stated confirmed that your offer had been formally accepted. It would appear you jumped the gun a little in using your funds for house repairs. If the work hasn't commented yet can you not cancel the building work and use the money for your IVA?

It looks like you're not willing to compromise. At the end of the day Aperture needs to think of the creditors and not just take note that you'd like to move on with your lives - I'm sure your creditors would like to have been paid in full also. You may have to just push on with Aperture recommendat...

My point is surely they cannot have it both ways? Keep the payments and cancel the cover? I would have thought they should refund the monies, minus some admin charges at most. Therefore, you could complain about that part. However, they may be saying they are not providing cover in future but they ...

You'll probably find it was in your terms and conditions to inform them of any bankruptcy and therefore you would have breached those by not informing them. They would then be perfectly within their rights to cancel your policy I'm afraid.

You can suggest asking for a payment break to save up to buy an older car to get you through the end of the IVA? People rarely need brand new cars and further sacrifices might have to be made, others on here have said that is what they've done. What you were able to do before the IVA might not be wh...

I can't see why HMRC would be willing to drop extra charges and interest. At the end of the day you chose to invest rather than pay your taxes as you surely must have known you were due to pay them. You can only ask them and do begin a dialogue to pay the taxes now as quickly as you can so you don't...

Defaults stay on your credit file for 6 years. Even though you paid the IVA early the defaults still exist - they don't magically get wiped as if they never existed. You will have to be patient and creditors must report the truth whether the debts have been partially satisfied or not. If you were to...

I would never ever ever allow anyone to access my online banking. I would have many misgivings about this and not least is prospect of data hacks. Banks and other huge companies spend many millions on data security annually - I wouldn't trust a company like CreditFix to keep my data safe no matter w...

Hi - It must be really hard for you - a car is a necessity! A car is rarely a necessity, plenty of people happily exist without one, especially if you can't afford it or can't afford to pay parking fines - too many people think cars, expensive mobiles, Sky TV packages are a necessity - they are not.

First, you should have not stopped payments without the agreement of your IP. The equity situation should have been addressed at month 54 and, in the absence of any action by your IP, it is your responsibility to have carried out what was agreed in your proposal --- if the IP fails to respond, at l...

We have both applied for credit building cards already and been approved with a low limit as still within iva clause. Credit score this month has improved and it says d...
