Well we have finally crossed the finishing line, 6 years after the last post on this thread.
Seems strange to read the threads and look back over the last 6 years and remember the state we were in back then.
Good luck to all of you starting out on this journey.

I have just tried to get my credit report from Experian but cannot get it online because I cannot remember exact details of the credit cards/limits I had 8 years ago. Ridiculous.
Just done it through call credit (noddle), so easy. One left for me, should go in May. [:D]

Well we have finally made our last payment, YEAH. It's been a long and hard journey, a total of 73 months. Originally for 60 months which was extended to 72 months because we didn't have enough equity in our property. Along the way we had a few problems but managed to make every payment and more on ...

Hi Viki, I'm fine thanks,
I suppose it would, I think.
It's just the 1st time we have done overtime and it came the same time as the tax rebate and the figures got really confusing.
Thanks.

Hi, Just a quick question on overtime and the 10% rule. For Example: If for example I earn £2000 before tax - £1600 take home pay then anything earned over £1760 then has to declared. If I earn £200 overtime before tax which equates to about £160 after tax, Total (£1800 before tax £1760 after tax) d...

Hi,
A payment of £803 per month for a £43,000 IVA seems very high, repaying over £48,000 ?
I think we are all struggling at the moment I know we certainly have nothing to spare and can save nil after we have paid the essentials like bills, food and fuel.
Good luck for the future.

I really don't think it matters what the issues are regarding the strike. My opinion is that rightly or wrongly public sector workers will generally support it and private sector workers generally will not.

I fully support the public sector workers, my husband works in the public sector (not this particular union). I have looked at the comments made by both private and public sector workers. My husband has already been told his so called pay uplifts will be very low (below inflation) for the next 5 yea...

Hi Cat1 You are very lucky to have built up that contingency. We are in the fifth month of our IVA and have not been able to save a penny as every time we have a bit of contingency something happens and we have to use it. My car has needed quite a bit of work on it and as we are only allowed £35 per...
