I phoned Halifax direct today and explained that I'd been in an IVA and although it's been cleared from credit files, the online question about ever having an IVA essentially stopped my online application. Was advised that this was not a question that would be asked via the telephone application pro...

I successfully completed my IVA in 2010 and it no longer showing on my credit reports. I was looking to,open an account with Halifax (where I already have a mortgage) however the terms ask that I confirm that I have never been bankrupt or insolvent or entered into any arrangements with creditors, or...

I was with CCCS and concluded my IVA not so long ago. They were fantastic with me, raising allowances with no argument, were quick to respond, and sent my termnation certificate out in weeks. Yes, they are indeed funded by the banks however I found them to be very fair. Commercial companies have the...

I would class this as earnings but its your IP who will decide (and if accepted as earnings will be subject to your IVA rules re overtime). If classed as a windfall, you may lose all of it.

Paula. I believe this would be classed as a gift rather than a windfall, your IP can confirm.

6 months does seem excessive. My IVA was also concluded in September but it only took a week until I received my completion certificate from CCCS.

So skintali, it looks like you've already paid £21k into your IVA with £21k left against which you can offer £15k as full and final. I owed quite a bit more than £72k and was with CCCS. I successfullly offered £15k against an outstanding commitment of around £25k so it can be done. Phone CCCS and th...

I don't think this would be possible because there's an admin cost to propose a variation and it would be very difficult to make a compelling case given the very short timeline.

You've not very long to go now, very well done.

By coincidence, my IVA was approved on the 20th October and my first payment didn't go out until the 1st December. I was with CCCS.

I work for a different government department. After checking my staff handbook, I was advised by my Trade Union that I didn't need to notify HR or my line manager.

Hi Steve I suggest the crucial phrase here is "it is your choice what you feel you wish to offer the creditors." The creditors will make the final decision not Payplan. Your offer seems very good, I'd go for it. You might want to request a payment break in the interim whilst your F&F is prepared and...
