Hi We completed our joint IVA in December 2011 and now we need to swap our interest only mortgage to a repayment. Regular high street lenders won't touch us until 6 years after we completed our IVA if we disclose we have had one but do we have to disclose it as our credit rating is ok nearly 2 years...

Hi My interlocking IVA with my husband completed in Dec 2011 and I received my completion certificate eventually in Aug 2012. After checking the insolvency register my husbands name has come off after only a few weeks but mine is still on there. How long does it take to come off the register? Should...

Hi I made my last IVA payment in Dec 2011 to DFD and am in the same boat being held to ransom firstly by the VAT issue which I thought was resolved in May 2012 by signing a variation form for my IVA to be closed and now by PPI. I contacted DFD in Nov 2011 when I received the PPI forms from EIF and t...

Hi I paid my last payment in December and have just checked the insolvency register and I am still on it! Am upset to say the least. when does this come off? Do I have to wait until the completion certificate arrives? Which could take all year according to 'new VAT rules' and therefore practitioners...

hi all
this was the point i was trying to express; you sign up to pay back at a fixed 60 months and then because of the credit crunch you are expected to pay another 12 months to make up a shortfall which is just circumstances and not of your making.

hi my understanding is that most IVA's have an equity release for homeowners in the 4th year. a lot of IVA's which are concluding now and next year are unlikely to have any equity release due to house prices falling and the credit crunch and lenders not giving mortgages as freely. my question is tha...

i see a lot of posts refering to IVA's failing after a substantial length of time and if this happens andy has quoted 'you are back to square one' with the creditors. i am just approaching my 4th year in an IVA and if the worst happened and my IVA failed i would have paid into the IVA about £30,000 ...

hi i have posted previously on this topic, but not sure what to do now. my son needs orthodontic work and the waitlist where i live is 3-4 years; as he is already 14 waiting is not an option if we want the work doing. my father-in law has offered to pay for his treatment privately but this is £2300,...
