Does anyone have any tips on which bank would offer a basic bank account to someone who is paying into an IVA?

Hi, my husband has been paying into an IVA and he has had an e-mail from his bank (who were not one of his creditors) saying that they are closing his account. It is only a current account and he does not owe them any money. Is this allowed?
