Hi, Thanks for the reply. We moved out of the old property in May so there was approx. 8 months with no contact. Basically, the original property had negative equity at the point of the IVA being proposed, hence the extension. However when we both were made redundant, we ended up having to use the m...

Hi All, I've had some fantastic advice from this forum in the past so I thought I would ask again. I started an IVA in May 2007 for 5 1/2 years (in lieu of equity) with Accuma that was transferred to Grant Thornton. Debts of £48000 However in Jun-Sep 2009, both my wife and I were made redundant with...

Thanks for the support, guys. Hopefully the OR will come out somewhere near the £250/month that GT wanted me to pay. I've read a lot of conflicting information on the budgets you're allowed during BR so not really sure what to expect. Will have £500 of the £700 required by Friday so BR probably beck...

Hi again, GT have just got back to me and TIX are refusing to reverse the rejection. They've stated they will only accept if there is a plan to address the arrears on the IVA. Given that would, in GT's own words, take the payments to an unaffordable level, it looks like bankruptcy will be the only o...

Thanks for the input, Michael. I would pay the funds immediately if it would guarantee acceptance except GT refuse to say that. They wouldn't give me a reason for TIX rejection. If they'd have told me this in January, i could have started paying at the start of February. Now I really don't want to t...

Hi All, Sorry not posted for a while. Variation meeting was yesterday and not looking good. TIX have rejected and they hold 43% of my debt. No reason has been given to me. The variations team at GT are going to try to convince them in the next week but say a termination is looking likely. I do have ...

Hi guys, Sorry not replied sooner. Had a chat with GT. They suggest that my IVA only has a little over two years left to run (which I'm a little confused about but hey.) I am going to have a chat with a Variation Adviser in the new year who will review all my I&E and circumstances to see if the IVA ...

Thanks for all your input, guys. Much appreciated.
I have a message to give GT a call later, which I will do when I leave work.
Just to clarify, I don't have a problem with GT sending the breach notice, I was just surprised it took as long as it did!

Hi, I would like a bit of advice on my IVA if possible please. I started my IVA in May 2007 for 5 1/2 years, the extra 6 months being in leiu of equity as my house had none at the time. Payments set at £448 as Accuma also took into account my wife's income. All went well until April 2009 when my wif...

Hi All, Not been on for a while but I thought I'd give you an update. The wife went to see the solicitor who advised her she had a potential case for unfair dismissal but was unwilling to take her on a 'no win, no fee' basis. With this mind, she has decided she just wants to take the money and draw ...

Egg were exactly the same with me. Sent me a letter informing me of the freeze on the accounts, then didn't bother me again until the day of the meeting when they rang me to ask how it went!

Hi All, Got a reply from my IP this morning and he has suspended my payments with immediate effect. He also requested all relevant documentation to arrange a creditor's meeting for a 9 month payment break, which is good news. The wife has an appointment with a solicitor next week now. Her work have ...

Personally I feel that if you are paying back your debt in full plus fees then I would not tell them about it. Well, that is how I would deal with it anyway. But this is the problem. You are not paying back the debt in full otherwise you wouldn't need an IVA. The principle of an IVA is to pay back ...

Hi Melanie,
I've not spoken to my IP yet. I'm going to drop him an email tonight when I get home.
It's the alleged "Customer Advisors" that dismissed my request.
They did a similar thing when I queried how much overtime I should be paying them. They said "All of it". IP said "None of it".[:)]
