I received my C.O.C in November and have spent around a month or so monitoring my credit file with the 3 agencies, basically my credit files with both Equifax & Experian are now clear of all credit accounts and the IVA which have dropped off after 6 years. CallCredit still has 2 showing but only bec...

Has anyone had any experiences with getting their names removed from the insolvency register and with the insolvency agency stating they are not responsible for notifying the CRA's of completion?? I have it in writing from GT that they inform the Insolvency Service who then inform the CRA's.....Expe...

Having just received my COC I have obtained my credit files from both Experian & Equifax and although I am aware that after only 1 week or so I doubted any of my creditors would have updated the records on my file, I wanted to see what was currently shown on the file and then could check that the de...

Michael,
When you say that I should have a new credit file as of the new year, is that automatically cleared on a timer(ie 6 years) or does that depend on creditors physically having to notify credit agencies???

Thanks

Yes GT do seem to be improving I followed advice I had seen on the forum and did ask Karol to intervene at times when it appeared things were just drifting along and I got no sense from their customer services and I have to say she came up trumps every time!! I did find however, that despite making ...

Thanks for responses.....I have to say I would have expected GT to have sent out some kind of guide with FAQ's along with the COC....all seems a bit lame to just say "its all over to you now" With regards to the IVA being on the CR for 6 years, when does that final 12 months start from? Only I have ...

I finally received my CoC today having made final payment on 27th May 2013. Grant Thornton had told me the average completion time was 6 months but having read numerous threads with horror stories regarding PPI VAT etc I thought I was in for a long wait but it actually came in a couple of weeks earl...

Thanks to all of you who posted a reply......the thing that is really annoying is that I have kept to the IVA religiously for 3 years without missing a payment and as I pay back around £1,100 pm I have already paid nearly £40K back and was quite content to continue with the full 5 years as I had a l...

Hello, I am wondering if you could give me some advice. My IVA is coming up to the 3 year point, but today I had some potentially catastrophic news that due to the government cutbacks my job could be at risk in the next few months. I work in the public sector in what I considered to be a secure posi...

Further update on this.....got a call from one of the managers at GT last night, she was extremely helpful and has undertaken to look into this further on my behalf. It would appear that as my IVA was approved in 2007 I was not able to take advantage of a change in the law in 2008 which enabled up t...

Thanks,
