I started my IVA in Oct 2010 and finished it with a F&F Oct 2015 - no equity in the house so no need to add on 12 months payments but we'd had some payment breaks etc. so it should have gone on to Feb / March 2016. I had 5 different PPI claims paid out after recieving my CC and the banks sent the mo...

So that's 47 minutes of being completely IVA free then![:D][:D][:D] 6 years...not gone as quickly as some have felt. Finished payments 13 months ago with a F&F offer, but the last year waiting for the IVA to fall off my credit report has really dragged....and now it's over. Take heart if you're thin...

Barclays opened one for me while in an IVA. No credit facilities at all and the local business manager had to 'fight my case' to head office. Apart from taking a day or two longer than normal (waiting for head office decision) it was fairly painless. I think a lot is to do with your planned business...

Hi Jamie I can't find my IVA paperwork - think I binned it after getting my CC. But after a bit of Googling!!! You need to look for something like this in your IVA agreement (I remember this is very similar to what I had)the bit I put in BOLD is the important bit: "f) “excluded assets” are those ass...

£11800 for a motorbike crash; £11000 pain and suffering, £800 for quantifiable damage (clothing, helmet etc.) I was open with Stepchange and they demanded the lot. Reminded them of the clause that said they followed the same rules as bankruptcy - they got a bit threatening.... I suggested they check...

Hi Longslog101 Yep - Barclays were one of my creditors; at least Barclaycard was. I didn't have a personal account with them, I just went in as a new customer and made my case that completing an IVA shows how I'd got myself in order and that as I didn't want any credit (overdraft, loan, business cre...

Hi I finished my IVA early in Sept 2015 (with a F&F offer) specifically because I went self-employed as an IT contractor. Barclays let me open a normal business bank account before I'd even received my completion certificate but it did take some work from the local business adviser who had to convin...
