I agree with all the above - I had a different experience with Picture when we tried to get a neg equity loan with them at the worst time when we had "hit the wall" and had no other way to continue to rob peter to pay paul. they picked up on the mess we were in and said no, quite rightly. With hinds...

We went on the register within about 4-5 days of our IVA's being approved. I had never even heard of the register before embarking on an IVA so it doesn't worry me too much about people finding out we are in an IVA by searching against it - we have also googled our names and nothing came up!!

Nina, what Melanie has advised you is quite right and you must not sign the RX1 form and I hope your solicitor has already told you not to do this. If he declares bankruptcy half of the equity will vest in the Official Receiver and you will have to either sell the property after year or reach an agr...

The basic answer is yes, your wife would have an equitable interest in the equity of your property. When you are married it doesn't matter whose name the assets are in as effectively everything goes "into the pot" to be divided upon a divorce and the starting point is always an equal division of all...

Hi Tracey You need to see a family law solicitor who will be able to reassure you and advise you fully. they will know about IVA's and it may well be that you could qualify for legal aid. You are having undue and unreasonable pressure put on you so please go and take legal advice - many firms offer ...

Are there any financial matters which need to be reolved within the divorce proceedings between your partner and his ex wife? Is so, his solicitor should be told about the Bankruptcy. If your partner owes money to his solicitor and tells them of the bankruptcy they are unlikely to continue to act fo...

Hang on in there Bengy - it is very difficult when you get wroked up in anticipation of the crediitors meeting and it is then adjourned. It happened to us twice and you go through all sorts of panic and stress. But this time will be used by your IP to do whatever they can to turn the votes around to...
