Hello. I made my final payment in May and have my completion certificate.
Today I received a pair of letters (in the same envelope) from HSBC & Max Recovery / Eversheds telling me that my debt had been transferred. I am confused! Should I just file and forget?

For the last couple of months, I have been visiting the forum most days - sometimes more than once a day.
For the first four years, I mostly only logged in when I had problems / questions.

If you walked straight into another job of equal pay, you are likely to have to put all of it into the pot. It is classed as a windfall. In other posts, I've read that you can keep up to six months salary whilst looking for a job. Longer than this could mean a payment break. You will need to keep yo...

It is cheeky but I wanted to get it over and done with.
As I said above, the e-mail arrived after the text and said that they would call you (no mention of this in the text) - how long this would have taken is anyone's guess.

Congratulations on having no more payments. I wouldn't bank on a reply from Mel this week as I think that in another thread she replies that she is currently on holiday - and therefore unlikely to be spending as much time as normal on here. You've got a good chance of being able to get a mobile cont...

Thanks Harpic. Well I just got a text message to call them back on a 10p a minute number. I tried saynoto0870 but with no luck. The guy put my details in again and it was accepted. Whilst I was on the phone, I got an email saying that they would (eventually?) try to call me - maybe I should have wai...

On the basis of this thread (and others) I've given it a punt and applied for a new contract myself today. I did it through a third party rather than direct with t-mobile as they have a redemption scheme and quidco vs. the larger quidco payment for the same phone / contract if bought direct. Plus, i...

You can, carefully, cut a standard SIM down. If the one they have given you is of no use at the minute - have you got anything to lose?
Google it, there are templates / guides etc.
