Hi..weve had the same problem!weve been in the process of an iva with grant thornton for 5 month!!and last week was told that after having several talks with northern rock who are 25% of our debt that they would definatly say no so theres no point in even putting a proposal forward.So now after wait...

Does anyone know if £35 a month is about the normal for fees on debt management plan?Thats with myvesta..just sounds alot to me.i havnt paid any of our debts for 5 month and need to get a dmp now!

we only have £200 spare a month.Grant Thornton mentioned bankruptcy but we dont really want to do that.

im sat here with a splitting headache feeling really stressed!! After waiting 5 months for an iva..just had phone call saying northern rock will vote no so not even going to try for an iva.Northern Rock are willing to freeze interest and we can pay them a monthly amount to pay off our debt of 4,000 ...

I have 2 debts..provident £4000 and wilson tupholme £700 and my partner has catalogues, and a loan with northern rock that he owes just less than £4000.Altogether our debts are £15,000

HI i am with grant thornton,I first spoke to nancy in september..she is lovely.But i agree they are very slow..i still havnt had the proposal yet!!!iv spoken to one man who was really nice but cant remember his name.how long did yours take?

Now im confused!! Got a letter this morn from g.thornton saying Northern Rock will be in contact with us within the next week to revisit our case and remodel our finance to ease financial pressure for us!! What on earth does that mean? Still no mention of where the proposal is.

I emailed them telling them how anxious i was about it taking so long..they rang me and all they said was that they needed to have talks with northern rock before sending the proposal out but that was a month ago.I dont really want to go with another company and start it all again.

No i havnt paid anything yet..they said i make a payment when i sign the proposal.The company i am with is Grant Thornton..i thought they were supposed to be good.Really dont know what to do.

My ip said we would be paying £211 a month..i havnt seen the proposal forms yet so hope it doesnt say anymore as we wouldnt be able to afford it
