2) A satisfied CCJ will carry less loading than an IVA. 3) An unsatisfied CCJ will carry the same loading as a satisfied CCJ. This is what I mean, its like landing one more boot in. So even if I did manage to wipe the CCJ it would still carry the same weight on my credit? 5) A discharged bankruptcy...

Thanks Kerrie ;) Andy, of course I knew that it would tarnish my credit, otherwise I wouldn't have asked how deep it did in this thread initially, it's just I didn't think that as far as credit checks go, CCJ's BR's & IVA's all put you in the same boat. From what I had read on these forums I thought...

Thanks for all the replies by the way ;) Not sure really, the reason I went down the whole IVA route was because it was supposed to not tarnish my record other than the IVA itself (well not as much as a BR anyway)... But now, from what I understand as far as credit checks go, an IVA is just as bad a...

Hi Andy you might have a point there, they only mentioned that the CCJ had stopped it going through... So would anyone say that this unfair that they should be allowed to be able to do this, it went through the same day as my IVA ;( Plus NO conformation letters saying that this was going to court ;(...

That is unfair ;(
They shouldn't be allowed to have the chance to punish people more than the term already allocated by the courts...
So are these grounds to remove?
'no notice' & 'the creditor is being paid back via an IVA agreement'
So if I managed to remove the CCJ, would the credit score go up?

Hi Andy ??? Sorry I disagree... With the IVA, the credit check would have been fine, with the CCJ, it clearly wasn't... Creditors are still allowed to place CCJ’s on you? Is that fact? So they can still put a CCJ on me even though it was to be settled via an IVA? If that is the case... well what’s t...

Hi Storm Yes, didn't think about that one, they must have ;( I would have thought someone with the court would have clocked this going through? So one of the creditors who were not up for the idea of an IVA settlement must have gone down the route of a CCJ weeks before. I can't remember having any n...

Hi Kerrie ;) Yeah I thought it would be fine if removed from file, but what about in the process of being removed with written documentation to prove this? (no not BR i'm just IVA?) Also, does anyone know if the creditors should have been aloud to be able to do this? I mean it's a bit nasty to put i...

Hi Kerrie

In your experience as a letting agent, if someone was able to supply written documentation stating that the CCJ on record was actually in the legal process of being removed or made void from the applicants credit history, along with guarantor & references, would this be enough?

Thanks for all help Mike, I will let you know how I get on. Hi Andy, yeah as it is done through the rent insurance company, CCJ's and BR's are a solid no go. Hi David, I don’t think its possible for this agency to push it because of the insurance. They got back and said that I was 526 credit score I...

Thanks Mike, yeah found the Experian site and filled all the forms for the online version, they are sending me a code in the post which when arrives I can enter online and check the report. I even managed to find the customer number and phoned them to see if I could access to it straight away or if ...

just had a phone call from the estate agent saying that the credit check came back as 526 and i have a CCJ on the 5th Oct 2006, this so happens to be the date of my IVA, this has stopped me going through to the insurance side. The credit check company was Experian i have no reference code to follow....
