I had the same problem with GT and told them I was going to raise a formal complaint against my IP. Out of nowhere I suddenly received my CC and have since found out that the IP in charge of my case had been sanctioned by the governing body for failing to close IVA's in a timely manner. Might be wor...

Whilst there is no legal time limit for closing an IVA, there should be. When you enter an IVA it becomes a legally binding agreement which the debtor has to comply with, however once you have fully complied with your IVA, there is nothing binding on the company which administers the IVA to ensure i...

From my experience with GT I would advise you to be pro-active regarding the equity release instead of waiting for GT to contact you. They are now operating an estimated 6 months closure period from when your IVA gets to the closure team. Any delays in completing your IVA such as outstanding equity ...

I had a loan with HFC Bank which was included in my IVA and 3 previous loans that were paid off in full. When i came to claiming PPI, HFC tried to off set the refunds from my previous paid in full loans, against the loan which had been included in my IVA. The ombudsman declared that they were not al...

Oh it gets worse. I have been told by GT that my case went to the closure team in December 2014. They then said there was an issue which meant it came out of closure and only went back in to closure at the end of April this year. So the 6 month estimated time scale has been re-set so it could be the...

It seems like GT are untouchable now they are quoting estimated completion times. How do you complain against an estimated time scale and at what point should you raise a complaint?

Unfortunately it's no longer 6 months with GT They are now quoting an estimated 6 months and, when i told the adviser that i would start a complaint at the 6 month point, I was told it wouldn't make any difference. I was told they would respond to the complaint saying I was told an estimated 6 month...

Called GT to ask for an update on my IVA closure and have been told that my case was only past to the closure team at the end of April this year and it is in the review stage. When i asked what stage of the review process my case was at, they couldn't tell me. I asked if they could find out if i was...

I thought my situation with GT was bad, but just read a post where the person is now in month 96 and still no closer to completion with GT. I will not be letting GT get away with this much longer.

Just as i thought it couldn't get any worse. Today i got another batch of Letters of Authority to sign and return to allow GT's new claims company to investigate PPI. This 2 years after signing the same letters for EIC so looks like the PPI is starting all over again. Will this ever end?

2 years 4 months since my last scheduled payment was made on an IVA started in 2008, still no CC from GT. GT are now quoting an estimated 6 months to close an IVA and in their words could be lees than that could be longer. So for GT it seems to be how long is a piece of string when trying to get an ...

Hi It has now been 23 months since my last scheduled IVA payment. My final review stated no extra funds were due into the IVA and my property has been excluded due to no equity. Last year i received a chairman's statement which shows, no arrears,no variations due,no extensions due and that the IVA w...
