Hi Ian They did the same to me in 2006 when I first took out my IVA - but they only gave me 30 days back then. I went with the Co-Op and they have been really good - online banking and 24/7 phone banking too. I also downloaded Microsoft Money which you can get for free as it's no longer supported, b...

Thank you both.
The debt was incorporated into the IVA and they received their F&F in June 2009. I suspect it's something to do with Year End financials but they shouldn't keep re-activating it as outstanding.
Is there any legal action I can threaten them with to stop it once and for all ?

I agree. I started out with Debtmatters who were dreadful, but then they "sold their book" and I was with Grant Thornton. All I can say is that nothing was too much for them. They were realistic about the state of the economoy and its effect on people. I think it helped that when I got my bonus, I g...

Hi all. I agreed a full and final which was accepted 2 years ago and I decided to register with Experian to keep a close eye on my credit report. It's pricey but the best thing that I've done. I have received an alert notification as I did last year at the same time, for TTI SPC - Freemans by any ot...

Good luck. My parents helped me out (£5k) and it was the best thing I've done. I got a new job and was told it was temp to perm in 4 weeks - looks like it's going to be up to 6 months and no work, no pay ! The second week in I had that norovirus tummy bug. Luckily they had accepted my F&F so the mon...

LOL No worries there David !!! I can't believe how much my spending habits have changed. I've got a wedding at the end of May and was looking for a jacket, shoes and bag to go with a dress and there was a helpful lady in John Lewis who suggested that because the dress was so long, there would be no ...

Yippeee ! Thank you Gordon Brown for screwing up the economy ! My parents will be losing no interest by lending me the money to clear my IVA !! I made the offer at the end of March and the variation meeting was today and they accepted !!! I recently started a new job that I was told would be temp to...

I'm surprised HSBC have left your account open. First Direct gave me a month to find another bank in 2007 - I'd been with them for almost 15 years and that counted for nothing. To say I was disgusted was an understatement, but my account now runs better than a lot of other people they still count as...

The only difference I see between IVA and BR is the fact that you pay your creditors back alot of what they were owed - whereas BR you don't all of the time. Hints and tops for building a credit rating up are I am told having a contract mobile phone, having a credit card would you believe it - but ...
