I completed in December and came off the register in March although my IVA will be on my report until 2017. Two weeks ago I applied online for a Capital One card and surprisingly I was accepted. It has a £1000 limit. It's merely a tool to help build up my credit and will always be paid off when I us...

Thanks Foggy, I think I'll leave things as they are then. Like most people I just felt it could be another forward step but there's plenty of time between now and 2017 to get a card. I don't need one so if it's not effective there's no point. Yes I've always had my greens..lol. My Iva was HMRC based...

Does anybody know if you can actually improve your rating whilst waiting for the six years to be up? I got my CC in December last year having finished early. 6 years won't be up until 2017. Came off the register in March. Having made a start with the agencies I cleaned up what I could and I just che...

Noodle will match you up with cards that they think you have the best chance of getting based on your credit report.
It won't impact on your file until you actually apply.
I've no doubt that the top results are probably "sponsored" but at least it'll give you an idea.

Hi Guys Can I just briefly say that Companycheck is a business tool that I use quite regularly to check out firms before we do business with them. It only digs deep if you pay for it and that's only giving company info rather than personal. It only shows people who are directors or secretaries of co...

Mine is marked with the correct default date but the monthly reds keep going on.
It is my intention to ask them if it can be marked as settled in the hope it looks a little better on the file.
I know it doesn't mean a lot in reality but it does to me...lol

I feel your frustration...Mine too is a bank. I only had two creditors, The main one HMRC caused all the trouble...lol... My bank account was frozen which caused my business visa to not get paid. Until then it had always been paid in full by standing order every month for over ten years. This then m...

Further to the last. Experian have responded to say that there's nothing unusual about having no account information on my file. I would have thought it was an important element myself. They suggest that the accounts I have mustn't report to them but I can't see why not? I have the following; Mortga...

Just as an update to the above. I've now received my Experian report. As with the others, my origial bankruptcy is shown on there so I've sent them the annullment order in the hopes that they'll update it to non existent. Equifax have already done so but Noodle haven't. It's obviously a slow time so...

That is strange Foggy. Perhaps because I've had it for so long it was before the days of credit file reporting? I wish it was on there though, every little helps I guess.
Anyway now I'm on a mission to remove the reds. I hope they'll mark it as settled and stop putting them on.
Thanks again.

Thanks once again Foggy. That's a shame as they're the only reds on there amongst quite a few nice green ones..lol. Do you think there's any point in writing to them now that I have my completion certificate? I thought it should at least show as settled? Annoyingly, I've had a contract with Vodafone...
