Nicola, after sending back that form, they told us over the phone which documentation was needed, think some of the other types listed in that document are for if the variation is asking for the iva amount to be reduced. We had to send proof of where money was coming from, 3 months payslips, mortgag...

GT finally agreed to put our offer forward. They have told us the process with take at about 2 months. They have now arranged for a courier to collect evidence documents, then arranged a telephone interview so they can gather details to write their report. They say they then aim to complete this wit...

Thank you for your reply Michael. Our suplus income showed £106, - we pay into the iva £270, so our surplus income showed less than what we currently pay into the iva. They said they we taking into account my husbands cigarette expenditure, and said that our food and house hold expenditure was 'too ...

Hi there, We are 3 1/2 years into our IVA. My husbands employers offered to loan us £10,000 to offer as a full and final settlement of the IVA. I worked out all the figures, and took into account payments into a 6th year, as a remortgage is unlikely. The figure including PPi claims was £20,733 after...

Dont think we would go down the complaint route.. as you say no surety that we will get a good outcome and would pee off our lender Im sure, rather stay in at least one's good books! Our LTV was sitting at 92% this time last year, as property market improves & we continue to reduce capital hopefully...

We are currently on std variable rate now with our lender, GT told us for the move to be acceptable to them the LTV would have to be the same as it is currently so that they didnt lose out on any equity. we spoke to our lender and said we wanted to port the mortgage and borrow less, they said this w...

Thanks shaun, we did consider porting the mortgage, but we actually want to borrow LESS which is the crazy thing, we want to move right out of the area, where we can get bigger house with less mortgage, so porting (if possible) would still leave us with a large mortgage payment which we were hoping ...

Hi Sirling, Im not sure why GT.. I imagine foggys answer to be a possible reason. I cant remember now why a DMP was not suitable, at that point we were not in arrears with anything, just regularly making late payments and knew that would get worst once the 3rd baby came & I was unable to work, maybe...

Thanks for the information and advice. We thought that was probably the case.

We have considered the rental option, which is probably the best option at the moment.

Hi we went into our iva 2 and hlf yrs ago when I was pregnant with our 3rd child, we were not behind on any payments but were often late, juggling peter to pay paul and with new baby knew it would only get worse. Iva via grant thornton was recommended by cccs. One main conern for us was being able t...
