Thanks for the responses everyone, I shall leave well alone. Just for info Michael - It was confirmed early last year that there were no more funds due into the IVA and we had confirmation in writing that any PPI claims could be paid to us directly. Creditfix were waiting on a ruling from the FO reg...

It's been a while since I last posted on this board, but I'm back for advice if that's ok [:D] We were in an IVA which transferred to Credit Fix from Simple Debt Solutions and we completed payments over a year ago but due to PPI and an RBS offset its taken a long time for us to complete. We received...

Thanks for the reply Michael - if only it were that simple. I shall continue badgering for updates :) We were told the following: RBS has set-off sums due in its PPI redress, but it has not re-proven its claim within the proceedings. It is not clear from the documentation whether or not RBS still ha...

I havent posted for a long time, but do drop in every so often to read the posts [:)] Is anyone aware of an ongoing investigation by the Financial Ombudsman to clarify the legality of the PPI offset that RBS currently apply to their accounts? We paid 100% of our total debt plus fees in April/May 201...

Hmm, I would steer clear of them. We are/were with creditfix, the call centre staff leave a lot to be desired, but I have nothing but praise for our IP. Trouble is you have to jump through numerous hoops to speak to her! We had so many admin problems, chased for payments that had been made on time, ...

We didn't have a good experience with them either until we contacted the IP directly. Drop her an email (we only ever corresponded via email) she was really helpful and sorted out our queries. Our I&E didn't change when we moved to credit fix from simple debt solutions, the payments remained the sam...

Hi Dawn
Have you spoken directly to your IP, or someone on the end of the phone? We are with credit fix and had conflicting statements from everyone we spoke to. It wasn't until we spoke/emailed our IP directly that we received the correct advice with regards to figures and payments.

Hi Clee,
If you do have the statutory interest clause in your proposal then it should only affect you if you pay 100% of your original debt. If you are on track to do this you can request that a variation meeting is called to have this removed.

How can you be expected to live on such a small amount for three weeks? The same thing happened to us when my husband changed jobs and we were able to miss one months payment because of the shortfall, our payment was by standing order so we just amended it to zero for that month only. You could canc...
